LOGOS

Basecamp

Logos Basecamp is a self-contained desktop application that bundles everything you need to interact with the Logos stack into a single install: a blockchain node, a wallet, a module manager, and a growing set of tools.

Basecamp runs on your machine and stays on your machine.

How Basecamp Works

To install Basecamp, choose the file for your system: macOS with Apple Silicon (ARM64) uses -aarch64.dmg; Windows on Intel or AMD (64-bit) uses the .exe installer. Linux uses -x86_64.AppImage for Intel or AMD (64-bit), or -aarch64.AppImage for ARM64. On Linux, right-click the AppImage, open Properties, and allow it to run as a program. On macOS, open the DMG and drag Basecamp into Applications. Use the Applications screen in Basecamp to install apps. Some apps are not yet available on native Windows; the blockchain node and swap app require the Linux AppImage under WSL2. Use All downloads if your system cannot be detected, or the installation guide for setup help.

01

Basecamp is built around a modular architecture. At its core is a lightweight runtime that manages self-contained modules, each providing a distinct capability such as private peer-to-peer messaging or distributed storage.

02

When you run an app on Basecamp, Basecamp automatically loads in and configures the modules you need. Modules are loaded, updated, and managed through a built-in package manager, and new modules can be added as the stack grows.

03

Basecamp is a dynamic interface for applications built on the private, decentralised internet. The more tools are built on the Logos stack, the more its capabilities grow without requiring you to reinstall or reconfigure anything.

Local First

Logos Basecamp runs entirely on your own hardware. Your keys, your data, and your activity never leave your device unless you choose to broadcast a transaction to the network.

There is no hosted backend, no telemetry layer, and no intermediary between you and the network. When you run Basecamp, you are the infrastructure. Running local-first software means no server breaches, data harvesting, platform deplatforming, or silent policy changes that affect how your information is stored or shared.

Storage

Modular
by design

Basecamp is designed as a seamless interface for apps that use the Logos stack. All modules run locally on your machine and deliver different functions. The modules you run depend on the app you are using.

What you can you do with Basecamp

Wallet

Create and manage accounts on the Logos Execution Zone. Send and receive tokens, including privacy-preserving transfers backed by zero-knowledge proofs where the network verifies correctness without ever seeing your private data.

Private Messaging

Send encrypted messages over the Logos communications layer. Messages flow peer-to-peer through a mix-routed network with no central relay or metadata logging.

Blockchain Explorer

Inspect the chain, browse transactions, and explore activity on the Logos Execution Zone.

File Sharing

Store and share files using decentralised storage. Your file index stays on your device; data moves directly between peers.

Node Dashboard

Run a full blockchain node directly from Basecamp. Participate in the testnet, validate module integration, and contribute to the health of the network.

Package Manager

Browse, install, and manage modules. As new tools are built on the Logos stack, Basecamp discovers them automatically.
