Logos Roadmap
This roadmap is our journey to mainnet: what we're prioritising now and where we're headed. It's a starting point for conversations, not a promise of specific features, functionality or timing. Timing might shift and the path will evolve as we build.

Key Objectives: Architectural Completeness
Testnet v0.2 allows nodes to run all core capabilities: blockchain, messaging, and storage.
It brings a host of improvements to the developer experience and the usability of the stack as a whole.
Testnet v0.2 is also focused on unifying the node operator experience, as well as making more modules accessible to developers and improving the capabilities they expose through Basecamp.
Logos Core
Improved documentation and better coordination between Logos modules.
Networking
Decentralised group chat through De-MLS, and RLN membership allocation for Mix.
Blockchain
Sovereign Zone SDK, channels, bridging support, and decentralised sequencing.
Messaging
New delivery module with Mix integrated. Integration of Mix and De-MLS into Chat module.
Storage
Faster and more stable decentralised file-sharing, and a proof-of-concept for DHT over Mix.
Roadmap Overview
Logos Core
Logos Core development focuses on the research and development of the Logos modular runtime, the Logos Core library, Basecamp, SDKs, and various modules.
Networking
Networking development includes p2p group messaging and Decentralised Oracle Network for the Logos Execution Zone.
A capability discovery module, libp2p mixnet, and RLN membership allocation will be delivered for Logos Core.
Blockchain
Private consensus is delivered by Cryptarchia and Blend.
Logos Execution Zone (LEZ) is being developed as the primary execution environment and first Sovereign Zone, and will later be linked to other public or private zones for interoperability.
Messaging
The Delivery module allows developers to build privacy-preserving applications and will integrate Mix. The Chat module provides private communication and will be expanded with De-MLS for group messaging.
Storage
Development is ongoing on a private file-sharing application and expanding the Storage module with the capability for distributed, censorship-resistant file storage.

Roadmap FAQs
Will the Logos roadmap change?
Yes, almost definitely. The roadmap is broad and the scope of our goal is ambitious. As an open-source, community-driven initiative, objectives and timelines may change as contributors explore new technologies or better solutions are found to the challenges we are solving.
Do I have to do anything?
If you are running a node, you will need to update your node to the latest version when a new release is published. Node operators will be informed when they need to update their software.
Normally, if you are running Basecamp or using a Logos-based application, you should not need to do anything when new releases are published. If there is a breaking change, we will announce when a manual update is required.
Can I run a node on the Logos blockchain?
Yes. Prior to mainnet, users are able to run a node on the Logos testnet and play a crucial role in building the security and resilience of the blockchain. Read more on how to run a node at docs.logos.co.
How can I contribute to Logos?
If you are a developer, head over to docs.logos.co and get started building applications on Basecamp, the user-facing interface for the Logos stack. You can also join our community and help with the development of the stack and modules.
